Often taking the first step is the hardest. It requires trust, courage and a willingness to embrace the unknown. Yet at every threshold, there is an invitation to step into a new way of being, to discover hidden truths, and to embark on a journey of transformation

The K♥️ offers us an invitation to think about what we need for our journey. So just like going on a trip we might want to think what we put in our bag or our basket. This might be literal or metaphorical: what we carry with us in our inner luggage.

At threshold moments we might want to ask ourself, what might we be bringing from our past. That might be from long ago or the last few moments. This present moment is always an opportunity to take a different step and to shift direction. See our Jokers.

There may be learning and wisdom that is useful, there may be things we are uncertain about but don't want to let go of. There may be things we have been carrying that no longer need to be carried. We might let things go gladly or sadly.

What might we have forgotten that would be useful to take on our journey? There is also an invitation here to think about how many layers of clothing we are wearing or might need. Again this might be literally as we set off on a hike or might represent the way we clothe our inner-self for the day ahead. There may be times we need many layers of protection for where we are going.

Sometimes we just wear the same clothes because that is our habit. It might feel uncomfortable taking off our layers and showing up more as we truly are. But there can be more ease and flexibility in this too. The weave in the basket in our image has a warp and a weft. The warp forms the structure, the weft represents the flexible fibres that weave in and out of the scaffold. We need stability, flexibility and adaptability to manage our journey. The hands remind us we are not alone. We are all connected.
